Artist's Comments

I am BACK! :eager:

Sorry it's ben so long guys. The boyf has been at my house for 2 weeks now instead of 3 days as originally planned but I'm not complaining!!!!

Thanks go to;
:iconurielstock: :icongothicselene: And also Advanced Photoshop magazine for the landscape and sky.

It's a bit different to my normal style but I love the cinematic presence of it. Let me know what you think the story is!

Name is from Interpol - Pioneer to the Falls

Show me the dirt pile
And I will pray that the soul can take
Three stowaways
Vanish with no guile
And I will not pay
But the soul can wait
The soul can wait

Well it is still pretty wet
With all these leaks
We'll be fine
We'll be fine

Enjoy :)

Critiques

While going through some random deviations (I do that to get inspiration), I saw this exceptionally mindblowing piece of art.

To me this shot is more than just a plain photo manip.
I truly see deeper sense in it as it reflects the problems our world has right now.

Children surrounded by war, fighting jets everywhere. The global warming melting down the pole caps and a dark sky lightning all the time over our heads.

With only having the birds being free this blends in a very good composition and is realized in a very unique and artistic way.

I am looking forward to see more of your art!

This is a very beautiful photomanipulation; it's one of the best I've seen in a while. :) Even though the color scheme is relatively monochrome, there's still a ton of contrast, both in the colors and the things in the picture. For the most part, the things in the picture look well-placed and fit in with the picture. The only exceptions are the two airplanes; they just feel out of place in the picture.

My only problem with the photomanipulation is that it's hard to tell what the picture about. One thing I like in photomanips and pictures in general is a clear theme. You can't really tell what's going on in this one, and what it's supposed to be about.

I don't feel qualified to offer critique on photomanipulation cause it isn't something I do very much of but I wanted to leave a comment anyway :aww:

This is totally epic! The combination of elements battling for visibility works really well, creating a very intense viewing experience.

I have recurring apocalypse-based nightmares and this is like a frame from one of those.

Thanks so much Tanya! Sorry for the late reply but it is definitely appreciated!

I hope you stop having those nightmares, that sounds terrifying!
